# Mid-Level Systems Engineer

## Description

The Systems Engineer is responsible the applications infrastructure across all networks. Technical support to make application security compliant. Responsible for tech precepts implementation and part of a 24/7 on call rotation.

Key Responsibilities

-   System Design & Implementation: Design, install, configure, and test operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
-   Monitoring & Maintenance: Proactively monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure high availability.
-   Security & Redundancy: Implement and maintain robust security measures, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans.
-   Automation & Scripting: Develop custom scripts to automate tasks and improve system efficiency.
-   Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across hardware, software, and network components.
-   Collaboration: Work closely with developers, management, and other departments to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
-    Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for system architecture, procedures, and support.
-   Technology Evaluation: Research and assess emerging technologies for potential upgrades or new implementations.

## Requirements

-   Experience: 2+ years of experience in system engineering, testing, or DevOps roles.
-   CI/CD Knowledge: Proven experience configuring CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools.
-   Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of Linux/Unix, version control (Git), and scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar).
-   Methodology: Familiarity with Agile development practices.
-   Education: Bachelor’s degree in STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) 

**Preferred Skills:**

-   Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
-   Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
-   Experience with test frameworks
