## Description

Banana Moon Day Nursery Barnstaple is seeking a motivated and experienced **Room Leader** to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing a nursery room, ensuring the delivery of high-quality childcare and education.

As a Room Leader, you will create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment that encourages children’s development and learning. You will plan the curriculum, support and mentor your team, and foster positive relationships with parents and carers.

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Lead the daily running of your nursery room, ensuring compliance with EYFS and company policies.
-   Plan and implement educational activities to support children’s learning and development.
-   Support, supervise, and mentor nursery practitioners and assistants.
-   Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff.
-   Engage effectively with parents and carers to share children’s progress and wellbeing.
-   Contribute to nursery improvement plans and inspections.

## Requirements

-   Minimum ‘Full and Relevant’ Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education, Nursery Nursing, or related field.
-   Proven experience in a Room Leader or senior nursery role.
-   Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding legislation.
-   Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
-   Passion for early years education and commitment to children’s development.
-   Ability to work flexibly, including some early mornings or evenings, if required.
