## Description

**Banqer**

At Banqer, we believe every student should be empowered to financially thrive.

More than 700,000 students across Australasia have experienced our classroom-based financial education, brought to life through real-world financial simulations that make learning engaging, relevant, and meaningful.

We make delivering world-leading financial education easy, equipping teachers with innovative tools to deliver impactful learning experiences that prepare students for life beyond the classroom.

With education and people at our core, and technology as our enabler, we’re here to create meaningful impact in communities while building a commercially strong and sustainable business.

**The Role**

We're looking for a Customer Success Manager to join our small, close-knit team.

In this role, you'll report to the Customer Success Lead, working directly with teachers and schools across New Zealand and Australia to ensure they get the absolute most out of Banqer High for their students.

You'll be joining us at a significant moment. Financial Education is set to become part of the New Zealand national curriculum from 2027, and Banqer is at the centre of that shift. We'd love to hear from candidates who bring genuine enthusiasm for education and strong relationship skills — and if you have a current or recent secondary teaching background, that's a definite plus.

If you're excited by purposeful work, enjoy being part of a team that genuinely cares, and want to make a meaningful difference in how young New Zealanders and Australians think about money, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop a deep understanding of Banqer High and be able to communicate its value and functionality clearly to teachers
- Create and maintain strong relationships with key contacts across our Banqer schools
- Maintain, refine and improve a scalable customer success process from onboarding through to year-on-year retention
- Onboard new schools to Banqer, providing support until they have successfully introduced students to the platform
- Monitor the engagement of schools and teachers, celebrating their success, communicating the value they and their students are getting from the platform, and appropriately intervening when engagement falls short
- Lead renewal conversations with existing schools, focusing on value and long-term partnership
- Provide teachers and students with day-to-day support, ensuring they are able to fully utilise the platform based on their intentions and goals
- Provide teachers with engaging online training on how to use Banqer High effectively
- Maintain an understanding of changes and developments within the education sector, specifically those relating to curriculum areas relevant to Banqer
- Attend relevant education conferences on an ad-hoc basis to represent Banqer from a Customer Success perspective
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets to drive revenue and impact growth
- Provide timely and accurate reporting of pipeline opportunities, current user activity levels to the Customer Success Lead.

## Requirements

You're experienced in customer-facing roles and know how to put the customer first.

If you have experience in SaaS or EdTech that's a plus, and if you have a current or recent secondary teaching background and you're looking to apply those skills in a new context, we'd especially love to hear from you.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

- **Relevant experience:** You've worked in a customer success, account management, or relationship-focused role, and have a track record of retaining and growing a customer base. Experience in software, education, or both is a bonus.
- **Educator credibility:** You're comfortable in front of teachers and school leadership. You understand how schools operate, what pressures teachers are under, and how to communicate in a way that resonates with them.
- **Great communicator:** You express ideas clearly, both in writing and in person, and build strong relationships with a wide range of people.
- **Commercially minded:** You're driven by targets and understand the value of what you're selling. You focus on outcomes and partnership rather than jumping to discounts when conversations get sticky.
- **Self-starter:** You're proactive, organised, and comfortable managing a varied portfolio independently while still being a great team collaborator.
- **Resilient:** You stay grounded under pressure, take ownership of outcomes, and can hold ambiguity without it derailing you, important given the evolving education landscape we're operating in.
- **Tool-savvy:** You're comfortable using a CRM to manage your pipeline and relationships (we use HubSpot), and you're open to using AI tools as part of your day-to-day workflow.
- **Collaborative in-office culture:** You embrace an office-first culture, working shoulder to shoulder with your colleagues to foster a collaborative and engaging work environment.
- **Purpose-driven:** You're motivated by Banqer's mission to help students thrive financially through real-world learning.

## Benefits

At Banqer, we’re proud of our collaborative, people-centred culture. We’re a small but mighty team that supports one another, celebrates the wins, and shares the load when things get busy.

We’re also ambitious and impact-driven, so start-up/scale-up life isn’t for everyone. But if you enjoy moving quickly, taking ownership, and doing work that genuinely matters, you’ll feel right at home.

Here’s what we offer:

- A competitive salary package, including 4% KiwiSaver salary match.
- A full team ESOP (Employee Share Option Plan).
- An extra day of leave for birthday.
- A great office location near Lincoln Road eateries, with free on-site parking.
- An office-first culture, with flexible work hours if you need to start early/late or step out for the school run.
- We also enjoy the option to work from home one day a week, kicking in after your first 90 days.
- The tools you need to do great work, including being added to the business phone plan and the option of an ergonomic sit/stand desk.
- Professional development and growth opportunities.
- Access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) for confidential wellbeing support.
- Meaningful work with direct impact, including school visits to see Banqer in action.
- A close-knit culture shaped by our values: Team Player, Have Heart, and Whakawhanake.

**Intrigued?**

If you're excited about joining a mission-driven team, doing meaningful work, and playing a real part in how financial education takes shape in Australasian schools, we'd love to hear from you.

Please apply through the platform where you found this role. This helps us ensure a fair and consistent process for every candidate. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so we encourage you to apply early.

We're open to full-time or reduced hour arrangements for this role, so please don't let that stop you from applying.

Join us in empowering every student to financially thrive!
