# BastionZero Careers

> <p>BastionZero is a venture-backed cybersecurity company founded by Sharon Goldberg (CEO), a tenured computer science <a href="http://www.cs.bu.edu/~goldbe/" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external">professor</a> at Boston University, and Ethan Heilman (CTO), a <a href="https://cs-people.bu.edu/heilman/" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external">PhD candidate</a> at Boston University and author of multiple privacy protocols and cryptographic attacks. The company started out in the blockchain space (as <a href="https://www.arwen.io/" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external">Arwen</a>), building secure systems to support transfers of large sums of Bitcoin, and is now spinning out its cybersecurity innovations to a new product in the cloud infrastructure space. This spinout is at an early stage, but is well funded with a substantial runway.</p>
