## **Build a Book of Business You Actually Keep**

Most people who want to run their own thing never do it, and the reason is almost always the same: the capital, the risk, and the three years of no income on the front end.

This role is the version of that bet without those three problems. You get a defined territory, a salary, a company behind you, and the freedom to build a book of business the way you think it should be built. What you create stays yours to grow.

Below are the questions a serious candidate would ask in the interview. We'd rather answer them now.

## **So what is the job, in plain terms?**

You are the commercial sales presence for a restoration company in the Great Falls market. You find the businesses and professionals who deal with property damage, you earn their trust before they need you, and you become the call they make when water, fire, or storm damage hits.

The work splits roughly between opening new relationships and deepening the ones you already have. Both matter. Neither happens from behind a desk.

## **What do I actually get to decide?**

•       Who you target and in what order

•       How you spend your week and how you route your territory

•       How you position us to a given account — the conversation is yours to run

•       Which events, associations, and rooms are worth your time

•       Where you invest the hours that compound and where you cut losses

You'll be accountable for results and activity, not for clocking in. The structure exists to support you, not to manage your calendar for you.

## **Who are my customers?**

Not homeowners, one emergency at a time. You're selling to the professionals who encounter property damage as part of their job and need a reliable partner on file:

•       Property managers and multifamily ownership groups

•       Insurance agents and adjusters

•       Facility managers and commercial property professionals

•       Plumbers, HVAC companies, and general contractors

•       Senior living and healthcare facilities

•       Hospitality and commercial business owners

A single one of these relationships can produce work for years. That's what makes the book of business real — you're accumulating an asset, not resetting a quota clock every January.

## **What does the money actually look like?**

A $60,000 base salary, plus uncapped commission on what you produce. For the first six months there's a guaranteed minimum commission on top of the base, which exists specifically so the ramp doesn't cost you money while you're doing the slow work of getting known.

$100K+ is the realistic target for someone who works this territory well. The commission has no ceiling, so what you build in year two and three is on you.

You also drive the territory on a vehicle allowance and a gas card, not on your own dime. The full benefits list is at the bottom of this posting.

## **What's the catch?**

It's a prospecting role, and we're not going to dress that up. Nobody hands you a lead list. You will knock on doors cold, you will have conversations that go nowhere, and you will follow up with people three and four times before anything happens.

There are also evening and after-hours events — chamber meetings, associations, industry functions — because that's where these relationships get made.

If you want warm inbound leads and a two-week sales cycle, this is the wrong posting. If the independence is the appealing part, it's probably the right one.

## **What would my first few months look like?**

Early on: learn the service well enough to speak about it credibly, map the territory, and get face to face with as many of the right people as possible. Your guaranteed commission is carrying you through this stretch on purpose.

By the middle of the year: partners start testing you with real work, your weekly meeting count is consistent, and the pipeline is something you can point at.

By the end of the first year: repeat referrals from partners who came back, a name recognized in the market before a loss happens rather than after, and earnings tracking toward six figures.

## **Where does this lead?**

We're a growing company in a growing market, and sales is a core function here rather than an afterthought. The people who build real market presence are the people who get first look at what comes next — bigger accounts, broader territory, and leadership opportunity as the organization expands.

The short version: this is a career, and the ceiling is a function of what you build.

## **Who's behind me?**

Dayspring Restoration has served Montana for more than twenty-five years and completed tens of thousands of restoration projects. That history is the credibility you carry into every meeting — you're not asking anyone to take a chance on an unknown.

We're part of the Fleet Response family of companies, which gives us the capacity to handle anything from a single water loss to an area-wide disaster. When a partner sends us their worst day, we deliver, and the relationship you built survives the job.

Operations, marketing, and leadership are aligned behind business development. You're independent, not unsupported.

## **How do I apply?**

Apply today. If your background fits, we'll set up a conversation and walk you through the territory, the comp plan, and exactly what the first six months look like.

_Dayspring Restoration is an Equal Opportunity Employer._

## Requirements

## **What do I need to have already done?**

•       2+ years of B2B outside sales experience

•       Real comfort with cold outreach and in-person introductions

•       The self-discipline to run your own territory, calendar, and follow-up

•       Strong communication skills and the judgment to prioritize high-value accounts

•       Coachable enough to run a proven process rather than rebuild it from scratch

•       Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation

•       Ability to pass a background screening

•       Willingness to travel the territory and attend evening industry events

## **What helps, but isn't required?**

Restoration experience is preferred, not a gate. These translate well:

•       Selling services rather than products to commercial accounts

•       Existing relationships in property management, multifamily, insurance, healthcare, senior living, or hospitality

•       Construction, building services, or trade-adjacent sales

•       Any role where you became a known and trusted name in a local business community

If you already know people in Great Falls who own, manage, insure, or maintain property, you're starting with an advantage this job pays for.
