## Description

We are seeking an experienced **Senior T24 Architect** to shape the evolution of a large and complex **Core Banking environment**. The role will provide architectural leadership across the Temenos T24/Transact landscape, ensuring that business capabilities, technology platforms, and long-term strategic objectives remain aligned.

You will work closely with **business stakeholders, engineering teams, enterprise and solution architects, and external technology partners** across multiple markets and delivery streams.

The role is focused on maintaining the **stability, resilience, security, and scalability of business-critical banking services**, while driving platform modernisation, simplification, standardisation, and sustainable technology evolution.

## Requirements

-   Define and evolve the **architecture roadmap for Temenos T24/Transact and associated Core Banking capabilities**, establishing target-state architecture, principles, standards, and technology direction.
-   Provide **end-to-end architectural leadership** across complex transformation, modernisation, migration, and delivery initiatives.
-   Translate business and functional requirements into **robust, scalable, and implementable architectural solutions**.
-   Design and oversee integrations between Core Banking and surrounding platforms, including **payments, digital channels, lending, deposits, customer management, and data platforms**.
-   Analyse and document **interfaces, data flows, system dependencies, and integration points** across applications, infrastructure, and external services.
-   Evaluate architectural options and clearly communicate trade-offs between **business value, technical complexity, delivery risk, cost, and long-term maintainability**.
-   Drive the **modernisation and simplification of the Core Banking ecosystem**, promoting API-first, event-driven, cloud-enabled, and other appropriate modern architecture patterns.
-   Improve platform **maintainability, testability, operability, resilience, and scalability**, identifying opportunities for reuse, automation, and standardisation across markets and delivery teams.
-   Define and validate **functional and non-functional requirements**, including availability, security, performance, scalability, resilience, recoverability, and operational supportability.
-   Lead and contribute to **architecture reviews and governance**, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards, security policies, and relevant regulatory expectations.
-   Identify and manage **architectural risks, technical debt, obsolescence, and lifecycle concerns**, defining proportionate remediation strategies.
-   Maintain the architectural runway required to support sustainable delivery and future platform evolution.
-   Act as a **trusted architectural advisor** for strategic Core Banking initiatives, technology investments, and major design decisions.
-   Communicate complex architectural concepts clearly to both **technical and non-technical stakeholders**, including senior management.
-   Mentor architects and engineers, encouraging collaboration, knowledge sharing, and accountable technical decision-making.

Required Skills & Experience

-   Significant experience working with **Temenos T24 / Temenos Transact** in architecture, solution design, technical leadership, or senior engineering roles.
-   Deep understanding of **Core Banking processes, Temenos platform capabilities, and integration dependencies**.
-   Proven experience leading architecture for **large-scale banking transformation, migration, modernisation, or platform rationalisation programmes**.
-   Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, APIs, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.
-   Experience working across **multiple teams, products, delivery streams, or geographical markets** within a complex enterprise environment.
-   Strong understanding of **non-functional requirements**, including availability, performance, scalability, security, resilience, disaster recovery, and operability.
-   Proven ability to assess architectural options, manage technical risk, and make pragmatic design decisions.
-   Experience working within **enterprise architecture governance and technology standards**.
-   Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior business and technology stakeholders.
-   Experience within **banking or financial services**, particularly environments with demanding availability, security, resilience, and regulatory requirements.

Desirable Experience

-   Experience with **Temenos integration frameworks and surrounding banking platforms**.
-   Knowledge of **payments, lending, deposits, customer management, digital banking, or financial data platforms**.
-   Experience with **cloud adoption and modernisation of Core Banking platforms**.
-   Familiarity with **API management, event streaming, microservices, and enterprise integration platforms**.
