## Description

Bergen Logistics, an Elanders Group company and global leader in third-party logistics (3PL), is seeking a strategic and operationally grounded Vice President of Finance to join its executive leadership team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Finance will serve as a key financial steward and business partner, overseeing all finance and accounting operations across the company's domestic and international operations.

This individual will lead a team of finance professionals and will play a central role in driving financial performance, scalability, and operational efficiency in a high-volume, asset-light logistics environment. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in global logistics, supply chain, or related industries, and possesses the financial acumen and executive presence to operate with credibility at the board and parent-company level consistent with Elanders Group reporting standards.

Financial Stewardship & Reporting

- Maintain full ownership of all daily finance and accounting functions across U.S. and international operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and GAAP compliance.
- Ensure financial reporting is prepared in accordance with both U.S. GAAP for domestic statutory purposes and IFRS for Elanders Group consolidation, managing the dual-framework requirements with precision and in close coordination with Group Finance.
- Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements — including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, and tax filings — in alignment with Elanders Group consolidation and reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local tax obligations as well as international tax requirements across all Bergen Logistics operating jurisdictions.
- Manage banking relationships, prepare covenant reports, and ensure ongoing compliance with credit facility terms.

Global Logistics Finance & Business Partnering

- Serve as a strategic finance partner to operational leaders across warehousing, transportation, fulfillment, and value-added services lines of business.
- Develop and maintain financial models that reflect the economics of 3PL operations, including per-unit costing, client profitability analysis, network cost modeling, and capacity utilization metrics.
- Support commercial and pricing decisions by providing data-driven insights into margin structure, cost-to-serve, and contract economics across Bergen's global client base.
- Partner with operations leadership on labor cost management, including monitoring wage and hour compliance, overtime trends, and headcount planning across union and non-union facilities.

Planning, Forecasting & Analytics

- Lead the annual budgeting and multi-year financial planning process in coordination with executive leadership and Elanders Group requirements.
- Drive rolling forecasting cadences and scenario modeling to support strategic decision-making in a dynamic logistics operating environment.
- Oversee the Business Analytics function; develop and maintain executive-level KPI dashboards that track financial and operational performance across Bergen's global network.
- Identify and communicate financial trends, risks, and opportunities with clarity and precision to the CEO, and Elanders Group CFO.

Systems, Controls & Process Optimization

- Lead and/or support the implementation, optimization, and evolution of ERP systems and financial technology platforms, including integrations with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Establish and enforce robust internal controls, financial policies, and risk management frameworks consistent with Elanders Group standards.
- Identify and execute process improvement initiatives within finance and across operational interfaces to reduce cost, improve cycle time, and enhance data integrity.

Mergers, Acquisitions & Integrations

- Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships, including financial due diligence, valuation modeling, and integration planning.
- Lead post-acquisition financial integration activities, including chart-of-accounts alignment, intercompany elimination, and consolidation into Elanders Group reporting structures.

Team Leadership & Development

- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team; foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
- Maintain succession planning and individual development plans for key roles within the finance and accounting organization.
- Partner with HR on performance management, compensation benchmarking, and workforce planning within the finance function.
- Aligned with and a visible champion of Bergen's core values: investing in people, creating a safe environment, treating others with respect, working collaboratively, demonstrating trust, showing passion for clients, communicating effectively, and holding oneself and others accountable.

- Demonstrated experience managing finance operations across multiple geographies, currencies, and legal entities.
- Experience supporting or leading M&A transactions, including due diligence and post-close integration, preferred.
- Track record of ERP implementation and financial systems management (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or equivalent) required.
