## Description

**LGV Driver - Food Waste**

**Location: Sidley Depot  
Days of work: Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)  
Start and finish times: 06.30 to 15.00  
Hourly Rate: £16.67**

Working as part of a crew, you will drive LGV waste collection vehicles, collecting and emptying bins, boxes and bags from householders and carrying out street cleansing activities such as sweeping and litter picking.

## Requirements

-   Valid **LGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence**
-   Valid **Driver CPC qualification**
-   Previous **Class 2 driving experience**
-   Good understanding of **drivers’ hours and tachograph regulations**
-   Comfortable working as part of a **crew**
-   Able to follow **health & safety and food hygiene procedures**
-   Good attention to cleanliness and hygiene standards
-   Willing to support the crew with **food waste collections, loading and unloading**
-   Good customer service skills when dealing with customers and members of the public

### Desirable

-   Previous experience in **food waste collection**
-   Previous experience within the **waste management industry**
-   Experience working as part of a collection crew
-   Experience using waste collection vehicles or lifting equipment
-   Knowledge of **food waste and commercial waste procedures**
