🎯 **The Role**

We're looking for a **Head of Engineering & Continuous Improvement** to build and lead Birdman's Process Engineering and Project Engineering function.

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving productivity, automation, manufacturing capacity, Lean transformation, and CAPEX projects across our operations. You'll partner closely with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, R&D, and Finance to ensure our facilities are ready to support Birdman's ambitious growth.

⚙️ **Responsibilities**

Engineering & Continuous Improvement

Lead Process Engineering and Project Engineering teams.

Drive productivity, efficiency, and cost reduction initiatives across manufacturing.

Implement Lean Manufacturing methodologies including Kaizen, SMED, TPM, 5S, Standard Work, and Value Stream Mapping.

Improve OEE/OLE, reduce waste, changeover times, and manufacturing costs.

Develop operational KPIs and performance dashboards.

Capital Projects & Automation

Lead CAPEX projects from concept through commissioning.

Develop manufacturing capacity plans to support business growth.

Identify and implement automation opportunities.

Evaluate equipment investments and infrastructure improvements.

Manage project scope, budgets, timelines, risks, and startup activities.

Cross-Functional Leadership

Partner with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, R&D, and Finance.

Prioritize engineering initiatives aligned with business strategy.

Build a culture of execution, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Develop and coach engineering teams while ensuring successful project delivery.

## Requirements

📐 **Requirements**

**👨‍💼 Experience**

5+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Continuous Improvement, or Operations.

Proven experience leading Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

Experience managing CAPEX, automation, or productivity improvement projects.

Strong project management and cross-functional leadership experience.

Experience in food, dietary supplements, pharmaceutical, or consumer goods manufacturing is highly desirable.

💻 **Technical Knowledge**

Lean Manufacturing (Kaizen, SMED, TPM, 5S, VSM).

OEE/OLE, Yield, Scrap, Capacity Planning, Root Cause Analysis.

Manufacturing automation and process optimization.

CAPEX planning and ROI analysis.

ERP systems, Power BI, or manufacturing analytics tools.

Lean Six Sigma and/or PMP certification is a plus.

**🎓 Education**

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

🌎 **Languages**

Advanced English.
