**Workplace:** on_site

**Department:** Quality Assurance Department

## Description

A QC Lead is a hands-on quality control professional who personally executes and oversees both manual and automation testing activities to ensure that delivered products and services meet established quality standards. The QC Lead writes and runs test cases, builds and maintains automation frameworks, owns the delivery of all testing artifacts, and is directly accountable for the UAT success of each project. This is a full-time position reporting to the Quality Manager. Ideal candidates are strong technical practitioners who lead by example, enjoy solving problems first-hand, and thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments

**Daily and Monthly Responsibilities**

•        Hands-on experience to design, write, and execute manual test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts covering functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

•        Perform hands-on exploratory, smoke, and sanity testing to validate builds before release.

•        Architect, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts, and personally run automated test suites as part of daily testing cycles.

•        Write and review automation code, continuously enhancing test coverage and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

•        Develop, maintain, and enhance the test automation infrastructure to improve efficiency and reliability.

•        Prepare, maintain, and deliver all testing artifacts for each delivered project, including test plans, test cases, test data, traceability matrices, test execution reports, defect reports, and test summary reports.

•        Own and drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) end-to-end — plan UAT cycles, prepare UAT test cases and environments, coordinate with stakeholders, execute UAT scenarios, and be directly responsible for the UAT success of the project.

•        Execute and report on planned tests, log and manage defects with clear reproduction steps, and regress software fixes for new and existing products.

•        Identify root causes of quality problems through hands-on investigation and coordinate corrective actions with development teams.

•        Assist development teams with replicating, debugging, and resolving defects by personally reproducing issues in test environments.

•        Perform hands-on business requirements review and verification to ensure testability, completeness, and adequate test coverage.

•        Participate actively in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through test planning, execution, and sign-off.

•        Lead the QC team by example — set quality benchmarks, assign tasks, and guide the team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day testing work.

•        Mentor and train junior, mid-level, and senior QC engineers on manual testing techniques, automation tools, policies, and procedures.

•        Work collaboratively with development and business groups to complete testing and ensure seamless product delivery.

•        Develop and implement quality standards, audit functionality, establish testing templates, monitor outcomes against success measures, and provide detailed status reports.

•        Identify areas for quality and process improvement and implement plans to support positive outcomes for the business and customers.

•        Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders regarding quality status, test outcomes, and project readiness.

•        Assist with performance evaluations as needed.

•        Perform other duties as assigned.

## Requirements

•        Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent education and work experience.

•        8+ years of hands-on experience in software quality control/testing, with at least 3–4 years in a lead or supervisory role.

•        5+ years of hands-on experience in manual testing (functional, regression, integration, end-to-end).

•        2+ years of hands-on experience in test automation (framework development, scripting, CI/CD integration).

•        Professional certification such as ISTQB-CTFL or ISTQB-CTAL.

•        Proven hands-on experience executing both manual testing (functional, regression, integration, end-to-end) and test automation (framework development, scripting, CI/CD integration).

•        Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar) with the ability to write, debug, and maintain automation code.

•        Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).

•        Demonstrated experience preparing and delivering complete testing artifacts (test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, defect reports, test summary reports).

•        Track record of owning UAT cycles and driving them to successful completion.

•        Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to personally identify bugs, analyse root causes, and drive resolution.

•        In-depth knowledge of testing methodologies, phases, and approaches, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and end-to-end testing.

•        Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with QC, development, and business groups.

•        Ability to multi-task, triage issues, react well to changes, and work independently or in a team setting in a fast-paced environment.
