### About the Role

Block LLP is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Case Manager to oversee pre-litigation personal injury matters from intake through settlement. This role is ideal for a highly organized and proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their caseload, and is committed to delivering exceptional client service.

The Case Manager serves as a primary point of contact for clients, medical providers, insurance carriers, and internal team members. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of personal injury claims, insurance processes, medical treatment coordination, and case management, while maintaining a high level of professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail.

### What You'll Do

### Case Management

-   Manage a full pre-litigation personal injury caseload from intake through settlement.
-   Review police reports, incident reports, medical records, and intake documentation.
-   Identify insurance coverage, request and analyze policies, and confirm policy limits.
-   Open claims with insurance carriers and maintain ongoing communication throughout the life of the case.
-   Monitor statutes, deadlines, and key case milestones.

### Medical Records & Treatment Coordination

-   Coordinate medical treatment and follow up on client care.
-   Track treatment progression and ensure timely collection of medical documentation.
-   Request, review, and organize medical records and billing.
-   Assist in evaluating damages and supporting case development.

### Demand Preparation & Case Resolution

-   Help prepare demand packages, including liability summaries, medical summaries, and damages documentation.
-   Assist attorneys with settlement negotiations and pre-litigation strategy.
-   Ensure all supporting documentation is complete and organized for settlement discussions.

### Client Communication

-   Serve as a consistent and compassionate point of contact for clients.
-   Provide proactive updates and manage client expectations throughout the claims process.
-   Educate clients on the personal injury process and next steps.
-   Deliver exceptional customer service while building trust and confidence with clients.

### Team Collaboration & Operations

-   Maintain accurate case records within the firm's case management system.
-   Collaborate closely with attorneys, litigation teams, and management.
-   Ensure compliance with firm procedures, best practices, and documentation standards.
-   Contribute to team goals, process improvements, and operational efficiency initiatives.

## Requirements

-   Minimum of 2 years of experience in personal injury case management.
-   Strong understanding of liability, damages, medical treatment, and insurance claim processes.
-   Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-   Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
-   Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining quality and accuracy.
-   Strong follow-up skills and sense of ownership.
-   Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.
-   Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office applications.

### Preferred Qualifications

-   California personal injury experience.
-   Experience preparing demand packages and supporting settlement negotiations.
-   Experience coordinating medical treatment and reviewing medical records.
-   Experience working in a high-volume plaintiff-side personal injury law firm environment.
-   Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
