## Description

Location: Remote (must have 4+ hours of overlap with US EST or PST
Type: Full-time  Contractor
Compensation: 3,200 - 3,500 USD / Month.

### About Us

We're a DTC-focused eCommerce design agency. We design brands and storefronts that convert. Our clients range from fast-moving startups to household-name DTC brands and Fortune 1000 companies. We care about clarity, speed, conversion, and taste. If you design pretty things that don't sell, this won't be fun for you.

### The Role

We're looking for an E-commerce DTC UX/UI Brand Designer who can own projects end-to-end (from strategy to execution) and make smart, conversion-aware design decisions. You'll work across multiple DTC brands, collaborating closely with strategists and developers. You should be equally comfortable thinking about brand systems, UX flows, and high-performing UI. We also expect you to bring a point of view on how AI tools can speed up and improve the way design work gets done, this isn't a "nice to have," it's part of how we operate.

### What You'll Actually Do

- Own UX and UI design from concept to launch across multiple DTC eCommerce brands
- Design online stores and pages that are clear, easy to use, and drive sales
- Create wireframes, scalable UI systems, and high-fidelity mockups in Figma
- Turn brand ideas into consistent, easy-to-follow visual design systems
- Present work confidently and collaborate closely with PM, lead designer, and developers through handoff, QA, and launch
- Spot usability issues, improve the experience, and follow proven conversion best practices
- Balance fresh, innovative UI design with CRO best practices
- Develop and maintain brand identity guidelines across all touchpoints
- Identify and lead AI-driven initiatives that speed up design production or improve quality (e.g., AI-assisted ideation, image/asset generation, Figma AI plugins, QA/accessibility checks, research synthesis)
- Continuously look for ways to improve our design process — tools, systems, and workflows — not just the pixels

### This Is Probably NOT for You If...

- Your portfolio is mostly Dribbble shots or redesign concepts — no live sites
- You have never worked at an agency with multiple clients
- You have never designed or shipped a live Shopify store
- You avoid feedback or can't defend your design decisions
- You care more about trends than results
- You've never worked directly with developers
- You see AI tools as a threat to your craft rather than a way to work smarter

### This Is Probably GREAT for You If...

- You've shipped real Shopify/Shopify Plus stores and can point to the URLs with pride
- You like moving fast across multiple clients without losing quality
- You already use AI tools somewhere in your workflow and want to do more of that
- You'd rather defend a design decision with data than with vibes

### Our Process

1. Portfolio review
2. Portfolio walkthrough call
3. Team/culture interview
4. Offer

    How to Apply

When applying, please include:

- A portfolio containing 2 to 3 live Shopify or Shopify Plus stores you designed — URLs required. Applications without live Shopify store examples will not be reviewed.
- Include the phrase "Figma AI Hero" somewhere in your application.
- A one- or two-sentence example of how you've used AI to speed up or improve a design deliverable or process (a plugin, a workflow, a QA step — anything real).

Show us taste, judgment, and real results.

## Requirements

### Non-Negotiable Requirements

Candidates who do not meet ALL three of the following will not be considered:

- Agency experience — You must have worked at a digital or eCommerce design agency serving multiple clients simultaneously.
- E-commerce DTC design experience — You must have a portfolio of real, live eCommerce storefronts (not concept or Dribbble-only work).
- Shopify experience with live sites — You must have designed and shipped live Shopify or Shopify Plus stores. We'll ask for URLs.

### Must-Haves

- 3+ years designing UX/UI for eCommerce or DTC brands — agency experience required (raised from 2+ years — the scope described, end-to-end ownership and direct client presentation, typically calls for more seasoning; adjust back down if you're open to training a strong 2-year candidate)
- A strong portfolio showing real, live storefronts — not concept-only or redesign exercises
- Proven Shopify or Shopify Plus experience: themes, sections, platform constraints, and best practices
- Advanced proficiency in Figma
- Deep understanding of mobile-first design, UX fundamentals, and accessibility
- Practical experience using AI tools to accelerate or improve design work (e.g., AI-assisted concepting, asset generation, research, QA, or workflow automation) — and a habit of looking for the next process improvement
- Experience taking projects from idea to launch
- Ability to explain why you designed something, not just what it looks like
- Comfortable working fast, async, and across multiple clients simultaneously
- Consistently meet deadlines and proactively communicate early if timelines are at risk

### Bonus Skills

- Ability to read HTML/CSS (you don't need to code, but you should understand it)
- Basic understanding of front-end development to better collaborate with developers
- Experience in an agile, multi-client agency environment
- Familiarity with other eCommerce platforms like WooCommerce or Magento
- Remote-first work experience
- Experience building or contributing to an AI-assisted design workflow at a team level (templates, prompt libraries, plugin rollouts, etc.)
- Experience with Click Up
