**OVERVIEW**

**Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Evening Shift**

**$35-$45/hr, Full-Time**

### **Location:** Correctional Institution, Hagerstown, MD (on-site)

### Schedule: Full-time, evenings, 8-hour shifts, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM

### Salary Range: $35.20 to $45.00 per hour, based on years of experience

### Required Experience:  Active Maryland LPN license or NLC compact license; Current CPR/BLS certification; 1+ year of LPN experience preferred  

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:

Put your nursing skills to work in a setting where your care truly matters. You'll join the healthcare team at a correctional institution in Hagerstown, Maryland, delivering comprehensive medical services on behalf of the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.

As an afternoon/evening-shift LPN, you'll provide hands-on, whole-person care to incarcerated patients, working alongside Registered Nurses and medical and psychiatric staff to address a wide range of health needs. If you thrive in a structured, secure environment and value teamwork and clear protocols, this role is a strong fit. Military medics, corpsmen, veterans and MilSpouses with LPN credentials are encouraged to apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES

-   Provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients within the LPN scope of practice
-   Work under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical and psychiatric providers
-   Respond to patients' physical and behavioral health needs
-   Administer medications and treatments as ordered, and document care accurately
-   Observe and report changes in patient condition to the supervising RN or provider

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

-   Active LPN license to practice in Maryland OR valid NLC compact license
-   Current CPR/BLS certification
-   Ability to obtain a security clearance, including a drug screen and criminal background check

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

-   At least one year of LPN experience in a community outpatient clinic, hospital, or long-term care facility
-   Corrections healthcare experience
