We are looking for a Traffic Management Designer who will be responsible for developing and managing Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) that keep worksites and road users safe while minimising disruption to traffic flow. This includes preparing TMP documentation, managing approvals with Road Controlling Authorities, and producing accurate traffic management diagrams for a range of infrastructure and roading projects.

Our client is a traffic and road safety management provider based in New Zealand, supporting roadworks, civil construction, and infrastructure projects nationwide.

**Key Duties**

-   Design and prepare Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) in line with client and project requirements
-   Produce traffic management diagrams and practical TTM solutions using RapidPlan
-   Submit and manage TMP approvals and renewals with Road Controlling Authorities (RCAs)
-   Complete project risk assessments and identify appropriate traffic controls
-   Liaise with clients, RCAs, and delivery teams throughout the approval process
-   Maintain accurate documentation and version control across active projects
-   Support project planning and traffic management methodologies as required

## Requirements

Requirements

-   Knowledge of the Code of Practice for Temporary Traffic Management (CoPTTM) and the New Zealand Guide to Temporary Traffic Management (NZGTTM)
-   Experience using RapidPlan or similar traffic management planning software
-   Understanding of RCA approval processes and requirements
-   Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical documentation
-   Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
-   Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
-   Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, STMS, and external stakeholders
-   New Zealand traffic management industry experience preferred
