ATA Sameday is looking for a **driven and experienced Assistant Operations Manager** to join our growing team.

This is a **hands-on operational role** supporting the day-to-day running of our same-day delivery operation. You’ll work closely with drivers, depot teams, clients and senior management to keep the operation running smoothly, safely and efficiently.

**📦 What You'll Be Doing**

-   Supporting the Operations Manager with the daily running of the operation.
-   Managing and supporting drivers throughout the working day.
-   Assisting with driver planning, route allocation and daily schedules.
-   Monitoring driver attendance, performance and operational KPIs.
-   Dealing with driver queries and resolving operational issues.
-   Managing delivery delays, failed deliveries and other day-to-day challenges.
-   Communicating with clients, drivers and internal teams.
-   Supporting driver onboarding, inductions and training.
-   Ensuring company processes, health & safety and compliance standards are followed.
-   Assisting with reporting, investigations and performance management.
-   Identifying areas for improvement and helping implement practical solutions.
-   Providing support and cover for the Operations Manager when required.

**👤 What We're Looking For**

We're looking for someone who is **organised, confident and hands-on**, with previous experience in **logistics, transport, courier or delivery operations**.

You will ideally have:

-   Previous supervisory, team leader or management experience.
-   Experience managing or supporting drivers.
-   Strong communication and people-management skills.
-   Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
-   A proactive approach to problem-solving.
-   The ability to stay calm and make decisions in a busy environment.
-   Good IT and administration skills.
-   A strong focus on customer service and operational performance.
-   The flexibility to support the operation when needed.
