## Description

The **Tax Assistant** supports BW Energy's tax operations in Brazil by assisting with tax calculations, filings, and compliance for direct and indirect taxes. The role ensures the accuracy of tax records, withholding taxes, and statutory documentation while maintaining tax and digital certificates up to date. Working closely with the Accounting and Finance teams, the Tax Assistant also supports audits, tax assessments, and documentation related to tax incentives, contributing to efficient and compliant tax processes.

**Responsibilities**:

• Assist in preparing the calculation of direct and indirect taxes well as on preparation of the tax returns.

• Calculate the withholdings taxes due over the supplier invoices.

• Maintain updated the Clearance Certificate (Municipal, State and Federal).

• Maintain updated the Digital Certificate for the companies and Administrator.

• Assist on the crosscheck and validate of tax obligation and reconcile tax information with accounting.

• Work with other stakeholders, especially Accounting and Finance Team, to prepare tax calculation records and ensure accuracy of tax returns.

• Assist the preparation of tax requirements and the documentation related to tax incentives. • Help to attend the tax authorities and government agencies on tax assessments, tax audits and any relevant tax issues

## Requirements

**Education**

• Attending or graduate in Accounting or related field.

• Long relevant experience may compensate for formal education

**Experience**

• Tax experience in accounting firm and/or in industry, preferably an E&P corporation is preferred.

**Knowledge**

• Knowledge in tax obligations.

• Ability to understand and work with ERP systems.

• Fluent in oral and written Portuguese language.
