## Description

Responsible for the alignment of clinical services with the Model of Leadership and Service through program design and development. Provides consultation and education in childcare teams and supervision to counseling staff and interns. Oversees the counseling and neurofeedback department and their interventions to ensure alignment with the Cal Farley Model of Leadership and Service, our vision, mission, and approach, as well as all licensing regulations and COA standards. Oversees Phase 1 Certification in Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics for clinical staff. Provides training to Boys Ranch staff related to clinical issues. May provide individual and group counseling, responsible for keeping up with current research and program development as it relates to clinical and neurofeedback services to ensure current best practices.  

-   Exhibits appropriate interaction and boundaries with residents. 

-   Exhibits regular and punctual attendance. 

-   Oversees the Counseling and Neurofeedback Departments and assures alignment of services with residents’ Plans Of Service and needs. 

-   Oversees the Clinical Internship Program and fosters relationships with social work and professional counseling graduate programs across Texas to recruit quality clinical master’s level interns.  

-   Provide supervision, training, and guidance to the Neurofeedback Specialist, Clinical Intervention Specialists, and counseling interns as assigned.    

-   Plan, prepare, and effectively manage budget requirements for Neurofeedback and Clinical Intervention Services department.  

-   Maintains a progressive orientation and continuously seeks to further develop and improve youth care programming. 

-   Assists in the design, implementation and evaluation of Boys Ranch clinical and neurofeedback interventions for identified residents in accordance with appropriate therapeutic practices. 

-   Make clinical diagnoses when necessary in order to provide appropriate treatment recommendations including, but not limited to, interventions, psychotropic medication management and goal setting. 

-   Provides training to Boys Ranch staff related to clinical issues and challenges affecting kids in residential care as requested.  

-   Collaborates with Boys Ranch staff to assess and refer residents for external contract services, medication reviews and Plan Of Service design. 

-   May attend and participate in weekly team meetings for assigned clients/teams. 

-   Assist in the design, facilitation and evaluation of Intensive Team Meetings and assists in developing team-centered approaches for residents who are struggling in collaboration with the Administrator of Intervention and Adventure Services and/or designee.  

-   Assists in the design, facilitation and evaluation of therapeutic group processes as needed.   

-   Assists in the implementation and operation of childcare programming in accordance with the Cal Farley’s Model of Leadership and Service.  

-   Provides crisis intervention for residents to include the use of approved verbal and physical intervention techniques and appropriate assessments regarding specific incidents of abuse or potential abuse involving residents. 

-   Assists in the design, implementation and evaluation of therapeutic Equine programs as requested.  

-   Meet and maintain requirements necessary to uphold appropriate licensing and credentials. 

-   May provide Administrative On-Call duties as assigned.

## Requirements

1.  A Master’s degree from an accredited university in Social Work, Child Psychology, Counseling, Human Services Administration or related field is required. 
2.  Must possess a license from the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners, Texas State Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, Texas State Board of Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Texas State Board of Psychologists or similar licensure. 
3.  Must possess a Supervisory designation from Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners, Texas State Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, Texas State Board of Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Texas State Board of Psychologists or similar licensure. 
4.  Intermediate competency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications (word processing, database, spreadsheet, e-mail, presentation graphics, etc.) is required. 
5.  Must be proficient in general office equipment operation. 
6.  Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills. 
7.  Must be at least 21 years of age. 
8.  Bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand/eye coordination, pushing/pulling, prolonged sitting/standing. 
9.  Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license
