**Maintenance & Dry-Docking**

● Monitor the ship's Maintenance Plan; instruct crew on outstanding jobs and critical-equipment upkeep

● Prepare repair, conversion, and dry-docking specifications; supervise and close-out all such works

● Plan regular repairs and dry dockings in advance to maximize time and cost benefits for each vessel

**Budgeting & Cost Control**

● Prepare detailed operating budgets for maintenance, dry-docking, and special surveys, identifying the most economical intervals, costs, and port options

● Produce monthly budget-vs-actual expenditure reports with variance analysis and follow-up action plans

● Review and approve invoices for repairs, lubricants, spares, and stores within authorized limits

**Communication & Stakeholder Management**

● Serve as the principal technical interface with vessel Masters and Chief Engineers, third-party managers, and charterers

● Brief and debrief vessel engineers and senior officers before and after voyages or maintenance events

● Cooperate closely with the Operations department and provide technical advice to the HSQE team
