**About the Role**

As we progress toward **2.2 million tonnes per annum**, development metres are critical to unlocking new mining fronts and maintaining production momentum. Our Jumbo Operators play a key role in safely delivering quality development that underpins the future of the operation.

You’ll be operating modern **Sandvik development drills** in competent ground conditions, working closely with technical services to execute accurate drill patterns that directly influence advance rates and ground stability.

This is a role for operators who take pride in precision, clean drilling practices and delivering metres safely and consistently.

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Operate twin-boom development jumbo to drill headings to design
-   Accurately mark-up and drill development patterns
-   Install ground support in accordance with plan
-   Conduct face inspections and hazard identification
-   Maintain drilling accuracy to support efficient charging and blasting
-   Complete pre-starts and basic machine maintenance

## Requirements

**About You**

**To be successful in this role, you will have:**

-   Strong commitment to safety and team-based work
-   Proven experience operating twin-boom jumbo underground
-   Strong understanding of drill accuracy and ground support standards
-   Ability to read and interpret development plans
-   Competent in marking/checking headings to survey requirements.
-   Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC).
-   Senior First Aid certificate (desirable).
-   Awareness of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
-   Ability to follow procedures and work to plan
-   Current Manual C-Class Driver’s Licence
