**About the role**

The People Experience Specialist plays a critical role in shaping CDC’s employee experience by designing, delivering and continuously improving the end to end employee lifecycle and the systems that support it.

This role combines hands on operational delivery with a strong focus on building scalable, well designed processes. You will own employee documentation, workflows and systems while proactively identifying opportunities to simplify, automate and improve how work gets done.

As CDC continues to grow, this role is central to ensuring our foundations are strong – building our systems and ways of working that enable a consistent, compliant and high-quality employee experience across the organisation. This includes actively exploring how tools like AI can be applied in practical ways to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort and enhance how employees experience the working at CDC across the full employment lifecycle.

**Other responsibilities include:**

- Own and manage core employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, role changes, performance, leave, surveys and offboarding)
- Draft and administer employment documentation and lifecycle correspondence aligned to internal standards and legislation
- Act as a first point of contact for employee lifecycle and process-related queries
- Ensure lifecycle processes are delivered accurately, consistently and on time
- Identify experience pain points and implement process improvements using feedback and data insights
- Administer and continuously improve HR systems, ensuring data integrity and adoption
- Design and optimise automation to reduce manual effort and improve scalability
- Develop and maintain clear, accessible self service resources (policies, guides and process documentation)
- Coordinate engagement surveys including communication and reporting support
- Support employee benefits administration and act as a point of contact for queries
- Partner with wider CDC internal teams to deliver seamless end to end processes
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, systems and employee experience
