**Role Overview:**

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Modular Design Managers role is to manage the day-to-day operation of the Modular design team within the CEL Engineering Department.

**What You'll Be Doing:**

-   Manage the day-to-day operations of the Modular Design Team.
-   Provide technical support to the sales team to assist with tendering Modular systems.
-   Ensure compliance with all relevant standards applicable to the Modular building business unit, such as building regulations, Eurocodes and IEC standards.
-   Attend all Modular project related meetings on behalf of the engineering team.
-   Attend the engineering weekly meetings to report on current issues.
-   Provide weekly reports on the progress of projects within the Modular Design business unit.
-   Assist with implementation of continuous improvements to the technical designs on an ongoing basis.
-   Assist with closing out and creating improvements to raised NCRs
-   Ensure that all relevant documentation is up to date and stored in the company approved storage locations.
-   Other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

## Requirements

-   A bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
-   5-10+ Years relevant experience in Modular Construction preferably within the electrical power industry.

**Key Competencies:**

-   Strong understanding of IEC standards applicable to modular buildings
-   Strong understanding of Eurocodes in relation to modular buildings
-   Strong understanding of the technical standard EN1090-2
-   Knowledge of integrated cooling systems as related to compact substation cooling.
-   Understanding of industry best practices in modular construction and safety compliance.
-   Strong technical interpretation skills for specifications and tender documents.
-   Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word).
-   Strong attention to detail and structured engineering approach.
-   Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
-   Strong communication skills.
-   Self-motivated and capable of working independently
