CEQUENS is seeking an experience Head of Legal to play a pivotal role in our legal team. this individual will offer strategic legal guidance on a broad spectrum of legal matters, reinforcing our commitment to compliance and ethical conduct. The ideal candidate will possess a sharp acumen for problem-solving and a robust ability to navigate complex legal landscapes. This role is tailor-made for a legal professional seeking to exert a substantial impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

### Roles and Responsibilities

**\- Strategic Legal Counsel**: Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and various departments, providing insights on legal risks, compliance, and strategic decision-making.

**\- Legal Research & Counsel:** Conduct thorough research and offer counsel on a wide range of legal matters including contracts, corporate governance, intellectual property rights, and litigation.

**\- Expertise in International Laws:** Provide expertise in navigating international legal landscapes, ensuring compliance with laws across different jurisdictions.

**\- Company Formation and Restructuring:** Advise on legal aspects of company formation, structural changes, and legal restructuring processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and legal requirements.

**\- Contract Management:** Skillfully review, draft, negotiate, and revise various contracts and agreements, upholding legal integrity and corporate goals.

**\- Policy Development & Compliance:** Create and enforce internal governance policies and procedures, emphasizing compliance, risk management, and ethical practices.

**\- Legal Representation & Liaison:** Act as the company's legal representative in proceedings and as a liaison with external parties, including attorneys and government agencies.

**\- Regulatory Acumen:** Keep abreast of and interpret changing laws and regulations, providing relevant guidance to ensure company-wide compliance.

**\- Training & Development:** Lead internal training programs to cultivate a culture of legal compliance and awareness among staff.

## Requirements

-   **Strong knowledge** of both Middle East and North African laws is **a must**
-   **Professional Experience:** A proven track record in a Legal Manager or similar role within the technology is **a must** - ideally in SaaS or CPaaS industry.
-   **Educational Background:** Equivalent law degree and masters from a recognized institution.
-   **Communication Skills:** Exceptional abilities in both written and verbal communication, with the capacity to effectively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
-   **Problem-Solving Aptitude:** Strong analytical skills and a creative approach to solving complex legal scenarios.
-   **Leadership & Collaboration:** Demonstrated ability to take on a leadership role, collaborate across departments, and guide teams with a strategic vision.
-   **Regulatory Knowledge:** A deep understanding of legal regulations and corporate governance practices.
