## Description

In this role, you will help shape the middle school science experience for seventh-grade students, creating engaging instruction that supports both academic growth and student belonging. This is an opportunity to contribute to a collaborative school environment, build strong relationships with students and families, and support learners through both classroom instruction and advisory.

### Responsibilities

-   Develop standards-aligned science lessons that engage diverse seventh-grade learners.
-   Use assessment data to differentiate instruction and provide targeted student support.
-   Build a positive classroom culture through consistent routines and strong relationships.
-   Mentor an advisory group while monitoring students’ academic and social-emotional progress.
-   Partner with families and colleagues to strengthen student outcomes and school culture.

## Requirements

### Required Qualifications

-   Tennessee teacher licensure with an appropriate middle school science endorsement.
-   Experience teaching middle school science.
-   Strong science content knowledge.
-   Experience with classroom management and standards-aligned lesson planning.
-   Eligibility to work in the United States.

### Preferred Qualifications

-   Three or more years of middle school teaching experience.
-   Experience teaching in a Title 1 school.
-   Professional proficiency in English.
-   Conversational proficiency in Spanish.
