Hourly Pay Rate: $20-$23 per hour

Hours: 12 Hour AM or NOC Shifts

As a **Hospice Caregiver** at Cheer Home Care, you will provide compassionate, non-medical end-of-life care and palliative support to seniors and adults with terminal illnesses. Drawing on your background in hospice or palliative care, your main focus will be on delivering gentle personal care, specialized comfort measures, emotional support, and homemaking assistance; all designed to help our clients remain as comfortable and peaceful as possible in the familiar surrounding of home.

Your clinical experience, steady presence, and empathetic touch will make a profound difference when it matters most. On a typical day, your responsibilities will include:

-   Assisting with essential activities of daily living (ADLs), including bed baths, gentle hygiene, dressing, and skin care.
-   Utilizing specialized mobility equipment (such as hoyer lifts or transfer boards) to safely reposition and comfort bedbound clients.
-   Supporting comfort care plans by monitoring changes in condition, tracking vital signs, and promptly communicating updates to the supervising nurse and interdisciplinary team.
-   Providing compassionate companionship and a calm, reassuring presence for both the client and their grieving family members.
-   Managing light housekeeping, essential meal preparation suited to dietary needs, and maintaining a clean, restful care environment.

## Requirements

-   Minimum of 1–2 years of direct caregiving experience in a hospice, palliative care, home health, or long-term care setting.
-   Proven experience managing end-of-life care, comfort measures, and pain management support.
-   Ability to safely lift, push, pull, or position patients (typically up to 50 lbs unassisted).
-   Cell phone with internet access
-   Must be able to drive client in their own personal vehicle (mileage reimbursable)
-   Strong organizational & communication skills
-   Certifications that are preferred but NOT required: CNA, HHA, CPR, First Aid, AED
