As a **Training and Programmes Officer at Civica**, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our library services by managing end‑to‑end **library training**, designing and delivering impactful **programmes**, and coordinating a variety of activities that enhance staff capability and client satisfaction. You’ll take ownership of **train‑the‑trainer** initiatives, empowering colleagues to cascade knowledge effectively across teams. Reporting directly to the **Senior Manager, Library Services and Operations**, this role offers the opportunity to combine strategic programme management with hands‑on training delivery, ensuring Civica continues to meet its contractual commitments while fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

**Key Responsibilities**  
**Library Training**

-   Development of training programmes (including preparation of training manuals and presentation slides, eLearning modules where required)
-   Conduct regular training for staff on-boarding and continuous training programmes including workshops and training for individual and group sessions
-   Assist in the train-the-trainer sessions as required
-   Provide administrative support for the organisation and delivery of all training programmes
-   Work with third parties to enhance the quality of training programmes
-   Evaluate and review the effectiveness of training programmes

**Library Programmes/Activities**

-   Development of reading and literacy programmes/activities (including preparation of programme guides, activities, etc.)
-   Assist in the implementation of reading and literacy programmes as identified for the relevant target audience
-   Deliver/Execute library programmes/activities at customer sites
-   Assist in the development and production of the library programmes/activities online catalogue including working with third parties
-   Provide administrative support for the organisation and delivery of all reading and literacy programmes/activitie

## Requirements

**Apply if you have:**

-   Minimum Diploma, fluent in English
-   Preferably ACTA or ACLP certified
-   Proven experience as a trainer would be an advantage
-   Proven experience in conducting programmes in schools or exposure to school libraries would be an advantage
-   Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
-   Familiar with digital, internet and social media online tools and platforms
-   Knowledge of Library System (Spydus) would be an advantage
-   Knowledge of library, development and conceptualising reading programmes and exposure to eLearning tools an advantage
-   Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
-   Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
-   Reliable, friendly and approachable personality
