## Description

### Who We Are

Claritas Rx uses AI and predictive modeling to help rare disease and specialty brands remove the barriers that keep patients from accessing and staying on the treatments they need. By uniting the most complete view of the patient journey with purpose-built technologies, we predict and resolve access challenges before they disrupt care, combining advanced analytics, real-world data, AI, and CRM capabilities to increase start and refill rates, reduce abandonment, and improve brand performance. Our mission is to ensure patients with chronic, life-threatening diseases receive the support that enables the greatest benefit from their therapy. Simply put, our promise is progress for every patient journey.

This is the opportunity to help shape a first-in-industry digital health solution alongside a team of mission-driven professionals. We were named one of Inc.'s Best Workplaces in 2025 and recognized on the 2025 Inc. 5000 list, and our team genuinely respects and supports each other. We thrive on being fast-paced, innovative, and results-driven, and our employees enjoy a flexible, collaborative work environment, unlimited PTO, stock options, and a growing set of tools and technology to drive innovation for our customers.

### The Position

The Controller is responsible for all aspects of accounting operations, month-end close, payroll, AP/AR, tax compliance, and technical accounting under ASC 606/IFRS 15. This role will lead continuous process improvement, implement scalable controls, and act as a key finance partner in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a proactive owner — someone who takes an overall interest in the business, continuously improves workflows and reconciliations, and can master a complex billing and revenue cycle.

**Key Accountabilities**

- Direct and control all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and all month-, quarter-, and year-end close activities.
- Ensure compliance with ASC 606/IFRS 15 revenue recognition standards, supporting complex recurring and services revenue streams.
- Develop a deep understanding of the Company’s complex billing and revenue cycle, working closely with Revenue Operations and Legal to ensure alignment on contract terms and how they convert to revenue.
- Responsible for tax filings, sales/use tax, and regulatory compliance in partnership with external advisors.
- Develop, document, and implement efficient internal controls, scalable processes, and continuous improvements to workflows and reconciliations across all finance functions.
- Partner with the Sr. Director, Finance on financial statement preparation, and provide key support for budgeting and forecasting.
- Own the Company’s finance systems, including NetSuite, Bill, and related tools, ensuring accurate data flow, integration, and system utilization.
- Manage external audit, tax, and valuation providers and associated audit and compliance activities.
- Partner with leadership on strategic projects and business process change.
- Lead the project to pull the Company out of its PEO, ensuring a seamless transition of payroll and benefits workflows across HR and finance.
- Take ownership of cash management, internal controls, and risk management initiatives.
- Supervise, mentor, and grow the accounting team, driving accountability and professional development.

### Who You Are

**Required Skills:**

- **San Francisco based — this will be a hybrid model with 2 days per week in our South San Francisco office.**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- Proven experience as a Controller or Senior Accounting Manager in SaaS or recurring-revenue businesses (PE-backed preferred).
- Mastery of NetSuite, Bill, and related accounting/finance systems.
- Deep technical knowledge of ASC 606/IFRS 15 for SaaS and service contracts.
- Demonstrated experience with complex contracting, invoicing, and revenue recognition — customers with multiple concurrent SOWs, mixed revenue types, and shifting delivery timeframes — and the ability to get their arms completely around the contract-to-revenue lifecycle.
- Track record of designing and driving accounting and operational process change, ideally in high-growth/PE/start-up environments.
- Proactive, ownership-minded operator who takes an overall interest in the business.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, scale systems, and deliver timely, accurate financial reporting.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
