### Overview

Harvey W. Hottel, Inc. is a well-established HVAC, Plumbing, and Mechanical contractor serving commercial, residential (custom homes), industrial, and government clients across the Maryland and DMV region.

We are seeking an experienced **Plumbing Operations Manager** to oversee the daily operations of our plumbing department. This leadership role is responsible for coordinating field teams, managing schedules and resources, ensuring project efficiency, and maintaining high-quality service standards.

This position plays a key role in supporting the Plumbing Department General Manager by ensuring operational excellence while the department continues to grow.

### Responsibilities

**Operations Management**

-   Oversee day-to-day operations of the plumbing department including scheduling service calls, projects, and field personnel
-   Ensure work is properly staffed and completed on time and within budget
-   Monitor workflow and field productivity to identify and resolve scheduling or manpower issues
-   Provide operational leadership to improve department performance and efficiency

**Resource Coordination**

-   Coordinate materials, tools, and equipment required for job sites
-   Work with purchasing teams, warehouse staff, and vendors to ensure material availability
-   Support job planning to minimize delays and maximize efficiency

**Team Leadership**

-   Coordinate with field plumbers, supervisors, and project staff
-   Assist with onboarding and training coordination for plumbing personnel
-   Promote teamwork, accountability, and professional standards within the department

**Customer Relations**

-   Maintain strong relationships with clients through clear communication and scheduling coordination
-   Serve as a point of contact for operational updates and issue resolution
-   Ensure customer satisfaction and high-quality service delivery

**Safety & Compliance**

-   Partner with the Safety Director to maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
-   Reinforce safe work practices and support safety training initiatives
-   Ensure plumbing work complies with codes, licensing, and regulatory requirements

## Requirements

### Must Have

-   10+ years of commercial plumbing experience
-   Experience in leadership roles such as **Field Supervisor, Project Manager, or Operations Lead**
-   Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, codes, and regulations
-   Ability to coordinate schedules, manpower, and job resources in a fast-paced environment
-   Strong communication and leadership skills
-   Experience with job costing and estimating
-   Valid driver’s license

### Nice to Have

-   Journeyman or Master Plumber License
-   Supervisory or management experience within a plumbing department
-   Experience with dispatching, service management, or construction management software
