**Role Summary**

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure compliance with statutory and internal financial requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to grow professionally while contributing to a mission-driven organization.  

**Responsibilities:**

-   Outline the day-to-day and ad-hoc tasks for this role.
-   Primarily working within the corporate NetSuite system, manage day-to-day accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.  Some additional work will be carried out in the corporate Google suite environment utilising functional shared Googlesheets etc.
-   Process vendor and employee payments, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
-   Calculate, deduct, deposit, and file TDS and other applicable taxes in compliance with statutory requirements.
-   Prepare and file VAT returns and ensure timely tax compliance.
-   Process monthly payroll and maintain payroll-related records.
-   Maintain the fixed asset register, including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and disposals.
-   Perform bank, vendor, and balance sheet reconciliations.
-   Support month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure timely closing.
-   Assist in preparing audit documentation.
-   Coordinate with auditors and regulatory authorities during audits and compliance reviews.
-   Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable tax laws.
-   Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
-   Provide support on ad hoc finance and accounting projects as required.

## Requirements

**Must-have skills.**

-   Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
-   2–4 years of accounting experience (preferably in a corporate environment).
-   Working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.
-   Strong understanding of VAT, TDS, payroll processing, and Nepalese tax regulations.
-   Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
