CodeNinja is looking for a **Senior Denodo Data Virtualization Engineer** with strong hands-on experience in **Denodo Data Virtualization, banking data modeling, and Enterprise Data Management (EDM)**. **About the Role** In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize data virtualization solutions that provide secure, governed, and high-performance access to data across multiple enterprise and banking data sources. The ideal candidate will have practical experience working with **Denodo, banking data models, EDW, BI, Big Data/Data Lakes, BusinessObjects BI, and Informatica Data Management technologies**. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain **Denodo data virtualization layers** for enterprise and banking environments. - Develop reusable **Base Views, Derived Views, Associations, Data Services, Cached Views, and Semantic/Business Views**. - Integrate and virtualize data from multiple sources, including EDWs, relational databases, data lakes, banking applications, operational systems, and APIs. - Apply banking data modeling principles to build efficient and business-oriented virtual data models. - Translate business and technical requirements into scalable data virtualization solutions. - Optimize Denodo queries, joins, aggregations, caching strategies, and data source configurations. - Implement appropriate **data security, access control, masking, and governance** mechanisms. - Support enterprise-wide logical and semantic data models and data access services. - Troubleshoot data quality, connectivity, integration, and performance issues. - Support integration between Denodo and **BusinessObjects BI** and other analytics platforms. - Develop and maintain technical documentation, including data mappings, virtual models, and solution designs. - Collaborate with Data Governance and Data Management teams to maintain enterprise data standards. - Participate in testing, deployment, performance tuning, and production support. - Support integration and interoperability with **Informatica Data Management** technologies. ## Requirements Required Qualifications & Skills ### Denodo Data Virtualization - **3+ years of hands-on experience with Denodo Data Virtualization.** - Strong understanding of Denodo architecture and components. - Hands-on experience with Base Views, Derived Views, Associations, Data Services, Cached Views, and Semantic/Business Views. - Experience with Denodo query optimization and performance tuning. - Strong understanding of data virtualization versus traditional ETL/ELT approaches. - Experience integrating heterogeneous data sources. ### Banking Data Modeling - Strong hands-on experience with **banking data modeling**. - Understanding of banking domains such as: - Customer / Party - Accounts - Deposits - Loans - Credit Cards - Transactions - Payments - General Ledger / Finance - Risk - Ability to work with conceptual, logical, and physical data models. - Experience with enterprise banking data warehouses is highly desirable. ### Enterprise Data Management Strong understanding of: - Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) - Business Intelligence (BI) - Big Data and Data Lakes - Data Integration - Data Governance - Data Quality - Master Data Management (MDM) - Metadata Management - Data Lineage - Data Architecture - Data Virtualization ### Business Intelligence - Hands-on experience with **BusinessObjects BI**. - Understanding of universes, semantic layers, reports, and queries. - Experience integrating BusinessObjects with enterprise data platforms or virtualized data sources. ### Informatica Experience with **Informatica Data Management technologies** is highly desirable, including: - Informatica PowerCenter - Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) - Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) - Informatica Data Governance / Metadata Management - Other Informatica data management components ### Additional Technical Skills - Strong SQL development and performance-tuning skills. - Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or other enterprise databases. - Experience with data integration across heterogeneous platforms. - Knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar platforms is an advantage. - Understanding of cloud data platforms is an advantage. - Knowledge of REST APIs and data services. - Understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality, and Data Lineage. **Banking & Industry Experience** Experience within **banking or financial services environments** is highly preferred, particularly experience working with enterprise banking data platforms and data models.
