## Description

**We are on the lookout for our next Trader to join the Sportsbook team in our Malta office!**

As a Sports Trader (Level 2), you aren't just watching the game; you are the architect of the market. You will bridge the gap between real-time execution and strategic risk management. This role is designed for a data-driven specialist who understands the "why" behind the odds and can proactively protect the sportsbook's margin through sophisticated customer profiling and liability control.

**Responsibilities:**

-   **Strategic Trading:** Execute and **optimise** trading strategies while managing real-time market liabilities and large-scale risk exposure.
-   **Risk Mitigation:** **Analyse** customer betting patterns to minimise risk, adapt limits, and optimise profit margins across multiple brands.
-   **Market Intelligence:** Monitor global price movements and competitor activity to ensure our markets are priced in line with the company strategy.
-   **Product Evolution:** Provide critical feedback on sportsbook products and report on bugs to ensure a seamless cross-regional user experience.
-   **Performance Reporting:** Generate deep-dive reports on trading performance and customer segments to identify growth opportunities.
-   **Specialised Setup:** Set up special markets by following predetermined guidelines to drive engagement and variety.
-   **Collaborative Support:** Act as 2nd-line support for the customer experience team on complex sportsbook-related queries.

## Requirements

-   **Experience:** 1+ years in a Sportsbook environment is highly preferred (ideally in a trading or risk capacity).
-   **Analytical Mindset:** Highly numerate with a clear understanding of the correlation between probabilities and odds. You think in "expected value."
-   **Technical Toolkit:** Proficient in **Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables)** and basic data analytics.
-   **The "Sports DNA":** A profound passion for sports, but with the ability to remain objective and data-led during high-pressure events.
-   **Operational Agility:** Excellent time management skills with the ability to balance multiple live projects.
-   **Flexibility:** Ready to thrive in a 24/7 global industry—this includes working evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
-   **Communication:** Professional-level fluency in English (written and verbal).
