### **Non-Interventional Cardiologist (MD/DO)**

### **Position Summary**

The Non-Interventional Cardiologist provides comprehensive cardiovascular care through non-invasive evaluation, diagnosis, and medical management of heart disease. This role focuses on outpatient and inpatient cardiology care, interpretation of non-invasive diagnostic studies, preventive cardiology, and long-term management of cardiovascular conditions using evidence-based, patient-centered practices.

### **Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

-   Evaluate and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions including coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, hypertension, and lipid disorders
-   Provide outpatient cardiology clinic care and inpatient consultation services as needed
-   Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiac diagnostic studies, such as echocardiography, stress testing, ambulatory rhythm monitoring, and cardiac imaging as applicable
-   Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
-   Manage cardiovascular medications and monitor therapeutic response
-   Participate in preventive cardiology and cardiovascular risk-reduction initiatives
-   Collaborate with interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac surgery, primary care, and other specialists
-   Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, lifestyle modification, and disease prevention
-   Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
-   Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and outcomes initiatives
-   Supervise and educate residents, fellows, or advanced practice providers as applicable
-   Comply with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards

### **Qualifications**

-   Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
-   Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program
-   Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Disease fellowship
-   Board-eligible or board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease
-   Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure
-   DEA registration or eligibility
