## Description

### **Position Overview**

We are seeking a Family Medicine Physician to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care and serve as faculty in a Physician Residency Program. This role combines clinical responsibilities with teaching, mentorship, and program development to support the next generation of physicians.

### **Physician Responsibilities**

-   Develop and implement effective patient care plans, including diagnostics, treatments, consultations, and referrals
-   Manage continuity of care through proper scheduling, follow-ups, and tracking of chronic conditions, abnormal results, and missed appointments
-   Deliver whole-person care by addressing biological, psychological, social, and environmental factors
-   Coordinate referrals to specialists such as social workers, nutritionists, and mental health professionals
-   Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation
-   Perform and document routine health screenings and preventive services
-   Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
-   Adhere to infection control protocols and universal precautions
-   Oversee residents in the management of hospital patients
-   Document daily progress notes and respond to patient-related communications
-   Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical protocol development
-   Attend required meetings, trainings, and in-service sessions

### **Faculty Responsibilities**

-   Support residency program operations, including coordinating clinical rotations
-   Mentor and counsel residents on academic and clinical performance
-   Participate in program evaluations and on-site reviews
-   Assist in the recruitment and selection of residency candidates
-   Teach and supervise medical students and residents

## Requirements

### **Education & Training**

-   Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
-   Completion of an accredited **Family Medicine Residency Program**
-   Board Certified or Board Eligible in **Family Medicine**
-   Active or eligible for state medical licensure
-   DEA certification
-   Current CPR certification
-   Ongoing commitment to continuing medical education

### **Skills & Competencies**

-   Strong patient-centered care and customer service skills
-   Excellent organizational and time management abilities
-   Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
-   Strong written and verbal communication skills
-   Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic clinical setting

### **Technical Skills**

-   Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
