**Addiction Psychiatrist / Medical Director Opportunity**

**Location:** Danvers, MA

We are seeking an experienced **Addiction Psychiatrist** to serve as **Medical Director** for a comprehensive substance use treatment program in **Danvers, Massachusetts**.

This opportunity is available **2–3 days per week up to full-time** and combines direct patient care with clinical leadership and oversight of advanced practice providers.

The program has a **239-bed capacity** providing detoxification and residential treatment services, with an average daily census of approximately **200 patients**.

Responsibilities

-   Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with substance use and co-occurring psychiatric disorders
-   Provide psychiatric care within detoxification and residential treatment programs
-   Serve in a **Medical Director** capacity and provide clinical leadership for the program
-   Provide clinical oversight and supervision of advanced practice providers
-   Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans
-   Manage psychiatric medications and monitor patient response to treatment
-   Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, therapists, counselors, and other behavioral health professionals
-   Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning
-   Provide clinical consultation and guidance to the treatment team
-   Participate in quality improvement, compliance, and clinical program initiatives
-   Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
-   Help ensure services are delivered in accordance with applicable clinical and regulatory standards

## Requirements

-   MD or DO
-   Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
-   Fellowship training and/or demonstrated experience in **Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine**
-   Board certification in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine preferred
-   Eligible for a **Massachusetts medical license**
-   Experience treating substance use disorders and co-occurring psychiatric conditions
-   Experience supervising advanced practice providers preferred
-   Medical Director or physician leadership experience preferred
-   Strong clinical, leadership, and communication skills
