### **Psychiatrist – Outpatient with Limited Inpatient Coverage**

**Location:** Charleston, SC  
**Schedule:** Primarily Outpatient, with minimum 1 weekend/month of Inpatient Coverage  
**Employment Type:** Full-time

### **Position Overview:**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate **Psychiatrist** to join our Charleston-based behavioral health team. This role primarily focuses on **outpatient psychiatric care**, with the flexibility and balance of **limited inpatient coverage (minimum one weekend per month)**. The ideal candidate is passionate about improving patient outcomes, values collaborative teamwork, and is comfortable working in both structured and autonomous environments.

### **Responsibilities:**

-   Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning for outpatient clients.
-   Participate in a shared call schedule, providing inpatient coverage one weekend per month.
-   Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, nurse practitioners, and case managers.
-   Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation within the EMR system.
-   Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulatory standards.

### **Qualifications:**

-   MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
-   Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
-   Active or eligible South Carolina medical license.
-   Experience in outpatient and/or inpatient psychiatric settings preferred.
-   Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills.
