## Description

**Packaging Engineering Manager**

The Estimator and Drafter will be responsible for creating technical pallet and crate drawings, supporting sales initiatives, and preparing accurate cost estimates. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between  customer requests and Company design and cost standards, ensuring accurate and efficient quote execution.

We are primarily seeking local candidates within the DFW area to work from our Fort Worth, TX headquarters. However, we are also open to considering recent college graduates, and relocation assistance will be provided for qualified candidates relocating to the area.

**$ Salary is open and will be commensurate with experience.**

## Requirements

**DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS**

-   Develops 2D drawings and specifications and designs of proposed packaging solutions.  Solutions will primarily be related to wood pallets but could include wooden crates.
-   Develops cost estimates for wood packaging solutions.
-   Utilizing company provided software to create pallet drawings.
-   Utilizing company provided cost estimating tools to develop cost estimates for pallets.
-   New employee training on estimating protocols, tools and processes.
-   BOM creation.
-   Minimum travel required.

**QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**

-   Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook tools.
-   CAD software experience is beneficial but not required.
-   Ability to interpret technical drawings related to wood pallets and crates.
-   Strong communication skills for collaborating with clients and internal teams effectively.
-   Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**

This role is based out of a Conner Industries facility, with flexibility for remote work as needed.
