We’re looking for a technically strong and commercially minded Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role across technical accounting, financial reporting, business partnering, audit support, and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you’ll play a key role in maintaining strong financial reporting discipline and supporting robust, scalable accounting processes as Connexa continues to grow. A particular focus will be IFRS 16 lease accounting, balance sheet integrity, financial controls, and technical accounting support across the business.

**What you’ll be doing**

-   Supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including statutory reporting and external audit processes.
-   Owning and maintaining IFRS 16 lease accounting processes and controls, including lease modifications, reassessments, indexation updates, and technical accounting analysis.
-   Driving balance sheet integrity, reconciliation discipline, and improvements to the monthly close process.
-   Contributing to internal controls, finance systems optimisation, and process automation initiatives.
-   Partnering with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight and support operational and compliance initiatives.
-   Acting as a trusted advisor to the Head of Finance on technical accounting and compliance matters.

## Requirements

**You’ll bring:**

-   CA or CPA qualification.
-   5+ years’ experience in financial reporting or accounting roles.
-   Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
-   Experience with IFRS 16 lease accounting, or a strong interest in developing further expertise in this area.
-   Confidence supporting audits, reconciliations, and compliance processes.
-   A structured, detail-focused approach, with sound judgement and strong ownership.
-   The ability to communicate technical accounting matters clearly to a range of stakeholders.
-   A proactive, collaborative mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
