We’re looking for an **Asset Manager** to take ownership of day-to-day operational asset management across our passive infrastructure portfolio. This role is the operational face of Asset Management, working closely with customers, landowners, suppliers, service companies, field teams and internal stakeholders to protect asset availability, service performance and resilience.

**About the role**

As an Asset Manager, you’ll oversee maintenance delivery, coordinate lifecycle and remediation works, manage operational escalations and support incident and crisis response. You’ll play a key role in ensuring issues are resolved quickly, stakeholders are kept informed, and our assets continue to support reliable mobile connectivity across New Zealand.

**You’ll be responsible for:**

-   Managing day-to-day asset operations and resolving portfolio issues
-   Coordinating preventative and reactive maintenance activities
-   Project managing repair, remediation and lifecycle works
-   Managing customer, landowner, supplier and service company relationships
-   Leading out operational response during incidents, outages and severe weather events, working with the Network Operations Centre, customers, Telecommunications Forum (TCF) and field teams to coordinate mobile infrastructure restoration activity.
-   Monitoring & driving asset performance, identifying risks, managing costs and delivery progress
-   Supporting continuous improvement across operational asset management practices

## Requirements

You’ll be practical, calm under pressure and comfortable working across a geographically dispersed infrastructure portfolio. It is essential to have strong relationship management skills, sound commercial judgement and the ability to drive outcomes through suppliers, contractors and internal teams.

**You will have:**

-   Experience managing infrastructure assets across a large or distributed portfolio
-   Strong stakeholder, customer and supplier management capability
-   Experience coordinating maintenance, repairs, lifecycle works or operational programmes
-   Sound commercial and financial acumen, including cost tracking and budget support
-   Strong project management and issue resolution skills
-   Experience in mission-critical infrastructure, telecommunications, utilities or a similar operational environment
-   The ability to communicate clearly during incidents, escalations and high-pressure situations
-   A proactive, accountable and continuous improvement mindset
-   Willingness to participate in an on-call roster and provide after-hours operational support when required

Mobile telecommunications infrastructure experience would be advantageous, but it’s not essential. What matters most is your ability to take ownership, build trusted relationships and keep critical infrastructure operating safely and effectively.
