## Description

Our client is a prestigious company operating in the Oil&Gas sector.

**FUNCTION**

Reporting directly to the Livelihoods Supervisor and the Land Access Programs Manager, the main activities of the job include: to prepare new and update existing SOWs for contracting of implementation partners (IP) for the various agriculture livelihood programs committed under the resettlement plan; lead the coaching, upskilling and mentoring of the field officers, including implementation partners; to review and provide inputs to the implementation partners’ execution strategies, plans and procedures and monitor how successfully they are being executed; to assess agriculture livelihood implementation partners’ performance and how to implement their work scope and schedule most effectively; to be responsible of agricultural livelihood restoration programs, the tree nursery, ceding of replacement land, land preparation and issuance of security of tenure documents; identify all eligible households that may participate in agriculture livelihood restoration benefits and utilize tracking tools to ensure tracking of the delivery of commitments under the household agreement and RAP; conduct random field visits to monitor agriculture livelihoods program implementation; participate in meetings with Government, communities and households, as required.

## Requirements

-   University degree in relevant area, including rural development, agronomy, agricultural economics;
-   Minimum of five (5) years of experience in engaging communities and implementation of fisheries livelihood programs;
-   Knowledgeable about the land access and resettlement processes that leads to displacement and livelihood re-establishment and development program delivery;
-   Experience in managing schedule and budgets, large teams and performance monitoring and evaluation;
-   Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken) is required;
-   Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain good relations with stakeholders including local communities, government authorities, implementation partners and CSOs/NGOs;
-   Negotiation and conflict management skills;
-   Excellent analytical skills and detail oriented with competence in report writing;
-   Living in the local area of the job will be an advantage.
