## Description

We are seeking an Operations Officer to join our client’s Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC), based in Munich, Germany.

This role is centred on the assessment and the response of the Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) to threats, incidents and crisis. Working complementarily with an Intelligence team, the successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring a coordinated response on threats, incidents and crisis.

This is a duty-based position, requiring on-site presence at the client’s Munich office at the beginning, with potential flexible arrangement in the longer term.

## Requirements

**Responsibilities**

-   Execute initial response actions for threats and incidents, including containment measures, escalation, coordination with local teams, and liaison with local and emergency services where required.
-   Monitor security systems and operational platforms, including travel security, mass notification, incident management tools, and respond to alerts in accordance with standard operating procedures.
-   Maintain accurate and timely logs of activities, incidents, decisions, actions taken, and resolutions, ensuring compliance with documentation, reporting, and governance standards.
-   Provide clear situational updates to internal stakeholders and the Operational Lead during incidents, special events, and periods of heightened threat.
-   Conduct checks and coordinate with local management to verify security posture, identify gaps, and support the resolution of emerging issues.
-   Assist in defining and implementing protective measures for executive travel, high-profile events, and special operations based on relevant intelligence information and operational requirements.
-   Maintain continuous coordination with the GSOC Intelligence Team to ensure operational decisions, escalation, and protective measures are informed by timely and relevant intelligence.
-   Support the Operational Lead in coordinating with internal business units and external partners, including law enforcement, emergency services, security providers, and other relevant response stakeholders during operational activities.
-   Contribute to post-incident documentation, lessons-learned processes, after-action reviews, and the continuous improvement of standard operating procedures, playbooks, and response workflows.
-   Participate actively in drills, table-top exercises, ongoing training, and readiness activities to maintain operational preparedness and improve GSOC effectiveness.
-   Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, integrity, and adherence to data protection, operational security, and information-sharing requirements.
-   Coordinate proactively with relevant internal and external stakeholders.

**Requirements**

-   Bachelor’s degree in security management, criminal justice, emergency management, or a related field, or equivalent experience gained in security operations, law enforcement, military, or comparable operational environments.
-   2–5 years of experience in physical security operations, incident response, control room environments, or comparable 24/7 operational settings.
-   Strong observational, analytical, and reporting skills, with the ability to assess information quickly and act decisively under pressure.
-   Familiarity with security technologies and platforms, including mass notification systems, travel security platforms, incident management tools, and related operational systems.
-   Understanding of hybrid threat environments, including physical, cyber, and reputational dimensions relevant to multinational organizations.
-   Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder interaction during routine operations, major events, and crisis situations.
-   Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, duty-based environment and manage multiple priorities with a high degree of reliability.
-   Experience handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion, integrity, and sound judgement.
-   Fluency in English; an additional regional language is preferred. Fluency in German is a plus.
