In a rapidly evolving geopolitical landscape, organizations operating across the South America region face unprecedented risks and opportunities. As Regional Editor – South America, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the risk intelligence that empowers our diverse, global client base through Seerist, our market-leading threat and risk intelligence platform. This is an exciting opportunity to drive the development and management of high-impact, risk-focused content for clients navigating complex environments.

Working closely with our team of South America analysts, you will oversee the editorial process for our coverage of the region for the Seerist platform. Championing quality, innovation and collaboration, through the delivery of compelling, actionable analysis on regional risk topics you will ensure our clients receive timely, business-critical insights that inform their strategic decisions.

**Key responsibilities**

Editorial leadership and content maintenance

-   Building off team analysis meetings, lead regular Seerist content meetings with your team, ensuring timely and relevant coverage of developments, and a smooth cadence of analysis.
-   Edit and refine Seerist content submissions to ensure clarity, insight and business relevance, upholding the highest editorial standards and applying sensitivity protocols where necessary.
-   Work with analysts to ensure appropriate and effective use of data and graphics to enhance analysis.
-   Lead on maintaining and updating of all contextual content, ensuring the platform reflects the latest developments (e.g. post-election updates), and that we meet our contractual obligations to update country profiles, scenarios etc. within the agreed timeframe.
-   Work with regional Head of Analysis and Global Seerist Editor to co-ordinate analyst responses to emerging crises, ensuring clients receive timely, actionable insights.
-   Work with regional Head of Analysis and Global Seerist Editor to co-ordinate six-monthly risk rating review and enforce related deadlines for publication of the changes.
-   Foster regular collaboration with other Seerist editors to ensure cross-regional consistency.
-   Work collaboratively as part of a global editorial team, providing support across regions where required.
-   Upload all content to the Seerist platform.
-   Uphold and champion our house style and editorial line in all published content.

Analyst training

-   Work with regional Head of Analysis to identify and address gaps in knowledge, methodology and writing skills in the analyst team.

Content management and reporting

-   Work with regional Head of Analysis to compile and maintain schedule for delivery of all contextual content, balancing contractually agreed cadence of content reviews with timing of political events (elections etc) that have relevance for the schedule.
-   Lead on tracking of all content submissions to Seerist to ensure that content requirements are fulfilled and content metrics are accurately reported.

## Requirements

Knowledge and experience

-   Expertise in political and security dynamics across the South America region, with a strong understanding of risk topics relevant to a cross-sector business audience.
-   Proven editorial leadership and quality review experience, ideally within a business intelligence or risk analysis context.
-   Ability to use technology and data to drive and inform analysis.
-   Experience working collaboratively within remote and cross-functional teams.
-   Confidence to provide robust, constructive challenge and feedback.
-   Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications and skills

-   Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
-   Exceptional writing and editing skills, to native-English level, with a keen eye for detail and nuance.
-   Experience of writing and editing for a business audience, across multiple sectors and buyer groups.
-   Strong editorial judgement and commitment to quality.
-   Collaborative working style that encourages debate and discussion.
-   Preferred: Experience in data visualization and the use of analytics to enhance content.
-   Preferred: Familiarity with digital publishing platforms and content management systems.
