## Description

Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a **Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)** for a top **Healthcare** client.

This core clinical role coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care, performing a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The RRT is a vital member of the patient care team, responsible for monitoring patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation, and has the unique opportunity to **elevate skills in the Vascular Access arena**.  
  
**Job Responsibilities**

-   Perform and meticulously document comprehensive patient assessments, including monitoring breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
-   Conduct specialized diagnostic procedures to accurately evaluate the need for, and the patient's response to, respiratory therapy.
-   Administer a full range of respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
-   Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation, and assist with the safe placement of artificial airways as required.
-   Monitor patient for therapeutic response, promptly notifying the provider and intervening appropriately in the event of an unintended response.
-   Respond immediately to emergent patient situations, ensuring airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation.
-   Assist with the safe transportation of ventilator-dependent patients within the hospital environment.

## Requirements

### Education

-   Completion of a two-year AMA approved respiratory care program (Associate Degree or equivalent) is required.

### Experience

-   **Experience is flexible; New Graduates are welcome** if they have recently passed their boards or are waiting on their official license, with no prior respiratory experience.

### Certifications/Licenses

-   **State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and NBRC certification are REQUIRED.**
-   Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS or BCLS Instructor) must be obtained within **30 days** of employment start date.
-   Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS or ACLS Instructor) must be obtained within **6 months** of employment start date.
-   Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS or PALS Instructor) must be obtained within **6 months** of employment start date.
-   Neonate Resuscitate (NRP) certification must be obtained within **6 months** of employment start date.

### Skills

-   Demonstrated clinical competency in performing patient assessments and a variety of respiratory care therapies.
-   Proven ability to initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation in an acute care setting.
