Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a **Surgical Technologist II** for a top **healthcare client** in **Roanoke, VA**.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a high-acuity surgical environment alongside experienced surgeons and nurses, supporting a wide range of surgical specialties. The Surgical Technologist will play a key role in maintaining sterile technique, anticipating surgical team needs, and ensuring patient safety and procedural efficiency.

**Job Responsibilities**

-   Assist surgeons and nurses during procedures by preparing instruments, supplies, and equipment.
-   Establish and maintain a sterile field, ensuring all members of the surgical team adhere to aseptic technique.
-   Demonstrate correct and safe instrumentation passing and handling.
-   Participate in surgical counts (sponges, needles, and instruments) in accordance with policy.
-   Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards related to patient safety and quality care.
-   Support educational and professional development activities within the department.

## Requirements

**Education**

-   High school diploma or equivalent required.
-   Graduate of an **accredited Surgical Technology program**.
-   Must hold a **current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)** credential through the **National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting**, or have completed an approved military program in surgical technology.

**Experience**

-   No prior experience required; new graduates welcome.

**Certifications/Licenses**

-   **Certification in Surgical Technology** required.
-   **AHA BLS-HCP certification** required.
-   Must maintain registration with the **Virginia Department of Health Professions**.
