Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a **Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Vascular Surgical Step Down** for a top **healthcare client** in **Roanoke, VA**.

**Job Responsibilities**

-   Provide comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care for cardiac and vascular surgical patients in a step-down setting.
-   Conduct age-specific assessments and implement individualized care plans based on clinical findings.
-   Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.
-   Administer medications and treatments accurately, following hospital policy and documentation standards within EPIC EMR.
-   Monitor patient progress and revise care plans in response to changes in condition.
-   Educate patients and families on post-surgical recovery, medication management, and cardiac health.
-   Maintain a commitment to excellence in safety, quality, and patient satisfaction.

## Requirements

**Education**

-   Graduate of an accredited **School of Nursing** or program eligible for Virginia licensure.

**Experience**

-   **Cardiac or post-surgical step-down** experience preferred, but not required.

**Certifications/Licenses**

-   **Virginia RN license** (or eligibility).
-   **CPR certification** required; **ACLS, PALS, and NRP** as applicable within one year of hire.

**Skills or Competencies**

-   Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork abilities.
-   Proficiency in **EPIC EMR** or similar electronic documentation systems.
