Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a **Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Surgical Services** for a top **healthcare client** in **Roanoke, VA**.

The RN will deliver exceptional perioperative and postoperative care for cardiac and vascular surgery patients, ensuring optimal outcomes through teamwork, precision, and compassion. **Job Responsibilities**

-   Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to cardiovascular surgical patients in collaboration with surgeons and multidisciplinary staff.
-   Conduct comprehensive pre- and post-operative assessments to guide individualized care plans.
-   Administer and document medications and treatments accurately using **EPIC EMR**.
-   Monitor patients for changes in condition and intervene promptly using sound clinical judgment.
-   Support surgical teams during procedures and ensure adherence to sterile and safety protocols.
-   Communicate effectively with physicians, anesthesiologists, and allied health professionals to coordinate patient care.
-   Promote patient and family education regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and discharge planning.

## Requirements

**Education**

-   Graduate of an **accredited School of Nursing** or equivalent program eligible for Virginia licensure.

**Experience**

-   **Cardiac or surgical nursing** experience preferred; new graduates with strong interest in cardiovascular care are encouraged to apply.

**Certifications/Licenses**

-   **Virginia RN license** (or eligibility).
-   **CPR** certification required; **ACLS, PALS, and NRP** required as applicable within one year of hire.

**Skills or Competencies**
