## Description

Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a **Nuclear Medicine Technologist** for a top **Healthcare** client.

This specialized role is responsible for performing a variety of technical Nuclear Medicine procedures for screening and diagnostic purposes, applying ionizing radiation safely in accordance with **ALARA** (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) standards. The Technologist prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals, operates specialized imaging equipment, and processes diagnostic images to aid in the detection of pathology.  
  
**Job Responsibilities**

-   Perform diverse technical procedures in Nuclear Medicine, applying ionizing radiation strictly in accordance with ALARA safety standards.
-   Prepare and accurately administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for various diagnostic and screening procedures.
-   Operate and regulate specialized Nuclear Medicine imaging equipment to acquire high-quality, reproducible diagnostic images.
-   Process and organize diagnostic images, ensuring they are properly labeled and ready for physician interpretation.
-   Maintain all Nuclear Medicine equipment, performing quality control checks and troubleshooting minor issues.
-   Ensure meticulous patient safety protocols are followed, including obtaining consent and providing clear explanations of the procedure.
-   Collaborate with radiologists and the medical team to optimize imaging protocols and enhance diagnostic outcomes.

## Requirements

### Education

-   Associate Degree is required.
-   Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine or Radiography program is preferred.

### Experience

-   Prior experience performing Nuclear Medicine procedures is strongly preferred (implied by the job title).

### Certifications/Licenses

-   **Registered Radiographer (ARRT) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) certification is REQUIRED.**
-   Current State Registered Radiologic Technician license.
-   Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
-   Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

### Skills

-   Comprehensive knowledge of radiation safety, including ALARA principles and radiopharmaceutical handling.
