## Description

Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a **Registered Sonographer (Ultrasound)** for a top **healthcare client** in **Roanoke, VA**.

This position offers an opportunity to join a high-performing imaging team known for clinical excellence and patient-centered care. The Sonographer will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across multiple modalities, ensuring accuracy, compassion, and professionalism in every patient interaction.

**Job Responsibilities**

-   Perform diagnostic ultrasounds to evaluate normal and abnormal structures of the body.
-   Assess patients before, during, and after imaging procedures to ensure safety and quality outcomes.
-   Operate specialized imaging equipment including **CR, DR, and PACS** systems.
-   Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with departmental and regulatory standards.
-   Assist in the training and development of students and newly hired staff.
-   Promote a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for patients and their families.

## Requirements

**Education**

-   Graduate of an **approved School of Ultrasound** or equivalent training.
-   High school diploma or equivalent required.

**Experience**

-   Previous ultrasound experience preferred; **OR and/or Pediatric** experience a plus.

**Certifications/Licenses**

-   **ARRT registry or ARDMS** certification required in at least one specialty (OB/Gyn, Abdomen, or Neurosonography).
-   **CPR certification** required.

**Skills or Competencies**

-   Strong technical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
-   Ability to multitask in a dynamic clinical environment.
-   Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to assist across modalities when needed.
