# Power Platform Consultant

## Description

We are looking for an experienced **Power Platform Consultant** to design, build, and modernize business applications for our clients using the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem. You will work across the full application lifecycle — from requirements gathering and solution architecture through development, deployment, and governance — often as part of legacy modernization efforts (e.g., InfoPath decommissioning) and enterprise Dataverse implementations.

This role suits someone who is equally comfortable in front of a client whiteboarding a data model as they are writing a plugin in C# or configuring environment governance policies.

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Design and build solutions using **Model-Driven Apps** and **Canvas Apps** on the Power Platform
-   Develop and maintain **Dataverse** data models, including tables, relationships, business rules, and security roles
-   Build and extend **Power Pages** portals for external-facing client and citizen experiences
-   Author custom logic using **Power Fx**, **C# plugins**, and **JSON**\-based configurations
-   Automate business processes using **Power Automate** (cloud flows) and integrate with connectors and Azure services
-   Lead or support **legacy system conversions**, particularly migrating **InfoPath** forms and SharePoint workflows to modern Power Platform solutions
-   Implement and enforce **governance** frameworks: environment strategy, DLP policies, solution layering, and ALM practices
-   Design and maintain **security models**, including business units, teams, roles, field-level and hierarchy security
-   Manage application lifecycle using **Power Platform CLI (pac cli)** and **Azure DevOps** pipelines
-   Collaborate with architects and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, secure solutions
-   Provide guidance on **licensing** and capacity planning for Power Platform environments
-   Document solution architecture, security models, and governance policies for client handoff

## Requirements

-   Hands-on experience with **Microsoft Power Platform**: Power Apps (Model-Driven and Canvas), Power Automate, Power Pages, Power Fx
-   Strong working knowledge of **Dataverse**, including data modeling, plugin development, and Web API/SDK
-   Proficiency in **C#** for custom plugin and workflow development
-   Experience with **JSON** for configuration, API payloads, and custom connector work
-   Practical experience converting **legacy InfoPath forms** and classic SharePoint workflows to modern platforms
-   Solid understanding of **Power Platform governance**: environment strategy, DLP policies, tenant-level administration
-   Demonstrated experience with **Dataverse/Power Platform security models** (roles, teams, business units, column and hierarchy security)
-   Familiarity with **ALM practices**: managed/unmanaged solutions, source control, CI/CD via Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
-   Comfortable working directly with clients in a consulting capacity — requirements gathering, solution design, and presentations  
     

**Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills**

-   Experience with **Copilot Studio** (Power Virtual Agents) for chatbot/agent development
-   **Power BI** report development and Dataverse integration
-   **AI Builder** model development and integration
-   Azure integration services: **Logic Apps**, **Azure Functions**, Service Bus
-   Automated testing experience (e.g., Easy Repro, FakeXrmEasy)
-   Microsoft certifications such as **PL-200, PL-400, PL-600**, or **PL-100**
-   Experience with virtual tables / external data source integration in Dataverse  
     

**Qualifications**

-   5+ years of hands-on Power Platform development/consulting experience
-   Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
-   Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with client stakeholders
-   Ability to travel \[as needed / occasionally\] for client engagements
