## Description

You will play an active role in fostering a culture of AI adoption across the organisation by building and energising the AI community, supporting officers in applying AI tools to their work, and driving engagement through meaningful programmes and activities. You will serve as a hands-on AI practitioner, connector, and mentor who can inspire and guide officers in experimenting with and applying AI tools in their day-to-day work.

**Responsibilities:**

-   Organise and manage Innovation Showcases and Peer Discovery Sessions to foster a culture of AI adoption, and plan for the next cycle to ensure continuity.
-   Support and engage the AI Champions community by recognising and celebrating officer wins, sustaining momentum, and planning for the next cycle of showcases and sessions to ensure continuity.
-   Support officers in applying AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude to their day-to-day work through 1-on-1 or small group mentoring sessions, including crafting and refining prompts and building practical AI workflows.
-   Design and build AI workflow templates and prompt libraries from scratch to help officers apply AI tools more effectively and consistently.
-   Research and evaluate new AI tools and technologies and produce short accessible reports summarising their potential use cases, limitations, and relevance to the organisation before recommending them to officers.
-   Support the development of simple AI prototypes during hackathons, helping officers translate ideas into tangible proof-of-concepts.
-   Facilitate collaboration requests from and between divisions, acting as a connector to enable cross-team AI experimentation and sharing.
-   Improve collaboration and actively support network building across the organisation on an ongoing basis through channels such as EDMs, quizzes, and community activities.
-   Curate trend-spotting updates and track emerging AI trends to keep officers informed and inspired.
-   Any other duties as assigned.

## Requirements

-   Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related disciplines.
-   Hands-on experience or strong interest in working with AI tools such as large language models, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted workflows.
-   Comfortable facilitating and mentoring others in the use of AI tools, and able to engage officers at all levels with energy and enthusiasm.
-   Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical AI concepts into clear, accessible language for diverse audiences.
-   Able to spot and synthesise emerging technology trends and present them in an accessible way.
-   Some experience with or exposure to hackathons and prototyping would be an advantage.
-   Experience or interest in community building, facilitation, or engagement activities is an advantage.

**Technical Competencies**

The Assistant Manager should have hands-on familiarity with AI tools such as large language models, including ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude, and be comfortable crafting, refining, and teaching prompt engineering techniques for practical workplace use cases. They should be able to design and build AI workflow templates and prompt libraries, evaluate and test new AI tools, and support the development of simple AI prototypes during hackathons. Familiarity with productivity and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Power Automate would be advantageous. Over time, the Assistant Manager is expected to deepen their applied AI expertise, contribute to the design of AI learning resources and workflow templates, and stay current with emerging AI tools and services relevant to the organisation.
