Working alongside key local partners, the Tanzania Women Chamber of Commerce (TWCC) and the Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA), you will document and highlight the real-world impact of Special Project Fund (SPF) initiatives supporting women in and around the Geita mining communities. Through ethical storytelling, photography, and multi-channel content creation, you will amplify participant voices, showcase partner achievements, and raise visibility around how inclusive economic opportunities are being built within the mining sector. **As a volunteer, your duties will include:** - **Impact Storytelling & Content Development:** Research, write, and produce engaging human-interest stories, case studies, feature articles, and newsletters. Capture high-quality photography, short videos, and beneficiary testimonials that highlight participant journeys from training to certification and business growth. - **Strategic Communications & Visibility:** Collaborate with Cuso, TWCC, and VETA to design and implement a comprehensive visibility plan covering major project milestones, launch events, training activities, and market linkage opportunities. - **Digital & Social Media Management:** Create, curate, and publish dynamic digital content across partner websites and social media platforms to showcase SPF activities and project results to wider audiences. - **Institutional Capacity Building:** Support and train TWCC and VETA staff in foundational communication skills, including basic photography, beneficiary interviewing, ethical documentation, and social media management. - **Field Documentation & Collaboration:** Partner with program and MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) teams to identify key project outcomes, field results, and emerging success stories. - **Ethical Communication:** Ensure all content adheres to Cuso International’s branding guidelines and strict ethical standards, including securing informed consent before publishing personal stories or media. **Essential Qualifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. **Essential Background:** - Background in developing and executing communication strategies, with a portfolio of print and digital content. - Strong proficiency in writing, editing, photography, video production, and social media platforms. - Ability to deliver practical communications training, strong organizational skills to manage deadlines, high ethical judgment, and the flexibility to work both independently and collaboratively with diverse partners. **What’s in it for YOU?
