Cytera builds machines that grow mammalian cells for biotech companies. With the dawn of new cell-based treatments (cell therapy), as well the rapid increase in cell lines due to CRISPR and other cell-editing technologies, growing cells has become a huge bottleneck for some of the biggest and most innovate biotech companies.
Our team is a diverse mix of engineers and scientists who have come together to break new ground in technology and tackle a huge challenge in biology. We recently graduated from the Summer 2018 batch of Y Combinator, the most successful startup accelerator in the world which produced companies such as AirBnb, Dropbox, and Ginkgo Bioworks.
